Rolling Over!

Cooper rolled over for the first time while we were at IMPACT last week. I was the only one around when he rolled over and of course I didn't have my video camera to document it. At first I thought it was a fluke, but he did it four times in a row. He was only 9 weeks then and hasn't done it since until this morning. He was getting his head up really well, so I thought he might do it. I quickly grabbed the camera. The first video I shot, he only made it halfway over. It was so funny to see him laying like that. I then put him back on his belly and that is the video you are fixing to watch. He wasn't making any noise either which is unusual for him. Please excuse my excitement in the video. I have just been trying several times a day for him to roll over again.

Here is the second time he rolled over! He is so precious!

Cursed Onesie

My child has been sleeping 7 to 9 hours since he was about 7 weeks old. I know, mothers across America hate me. But don't worry, last night I got mine. I decided to put this cute onesie on Cooper to go to sleep in.
Can't read what it says? Here is a closer look!
My alarm clock decided to go off 3 times last night!! I don't think he will be wearing this onesie again. :)

Turkeys, and Deer, and Groundhogs Oh My!

This past week Cooper and I stayed with Matt's parents in Lebanon, TN while Matt was at IMPACT at Lipscomb University. Matt's parents live in a very nice neighborhood, so the opportunity to stay with them is always taken. But while I was there, I was amazed to see so much wild life. It is not like they live out in the boonies. They live in a subdivision where the lots are not that big. But as you can see in the pictures, it is like a zoo! Cooper will love it when he gets bigger. We saw turkeys, deer, a curious groundhog that came up on the back porch, bunnies, plenty of birds, and I'm sure there were some more that I missed.

Trying to Catch a Smile

We love it when Cooper smiles. It is just so hard to know when he is going to do it. Matt loves to try to get him to smile. This is how I find Matt most of the time. On a side note, isn't Cooper just adorable in this outfit! I could just eat him up.

Doctor's Appointment 6-14-10

Cooper had his 2 month appointment today. He weighs a whopping 12 pounds 13 ounces. He is also 23 and 3/4 inches long. These are both in the 75th percentile, so I feel pretty good that he is getting enough to eat. :) The dr. suggested we stop giving him his Prevacid (for acid reflux) to see how he does. I think I will wait to do that until after Impact this next week. I would hate for him to be awful while we are gone for a week and a half. Also today was the first day of VBS. Cooper's first VBS. This will be one of very many. Usually our family goes to several VBS's during the summer. It was always something the cousins did, and so now we are keeping the tradition. Unfortunately this summer all the VBS's that he would go to are during this week. My sister is VBS director at her church and then our extended family in Florence, AL would love for him to come. Oh well, there are many years to come for all of that. I will update with pictures soon!
