Christmas in Memphis

Our Christmas in Memphis was not until Jan. 2nd this year. My sister and her husband and kids went to Canada for Christmas, so we had to wait until they got back to celebrate. Matt and I spent a couple of days before hand just hanging out with my parents. There are a lot of pictures! You have been warned!

Mom and Dad took us to this steakhouse in Como, MS. It was so good!

Jan. 2nd. Our Christmas morning! The girls got two presents from Santa.

Our tradition is to have a huge breakfast before opening presents. We had fried potatoes (my favorite), biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, and coffee! I was stuffed!

Daily loves her babies! She is going to be a great mommy.

Matt and I got Remle and Daily an art easel.

We also got them a Twilight Turtle. You plug it in your room, and at night constellations show up on your ceiling.

Mom got all of her grandkids some nice books that will be special just between her and them.

That also had a hidden Citizen watch inside.

Brandy has talked about getting the complete works by Jane Austen in hardback forever. I have looked in stores, but can't find them anywhere. I finally got on Amazon and bought her a boxed set. She was so excited!

Mom got me a scrapbook for Cooper. Can't wait to fill it up with pictures of him.

Mom also got me a new wallet. I have had the same one since high school!

Matt does not like Alabama. Especially since we live in Auburn. But since my whole family routes for Alabama, he will just have to get over it!

Now Daily is wearing Poppy's awful glasses.

Believe it or not, we do not have a working DVD player. So glad we have one now!

I just love little shoes!

Mom and Dad got Remle and Daily a Gator for Christmas. They were so excited! I will try to figure out how to upload video of them on it.

Showered with love in Searcy

Over Christmas break, I got to go to Searcy, AR to hang out with some of my best girlfriends. Only one friend lives their now, but it is a good in-between point for us to meet up when I'm in Memphis. I headed down on Wednesday the 30th and had to head back to Memphis the 31st. It was short, but we made up for it with all the fun we had.

Shortly after we all arrived, the girls surprised me with a baby shower. I couldn't believe it! My first one! They knew that we probably wouldn't see each other until after Cooper arrives, so now was the perfect time. It makes everything even more real when I open all those wonderful gifts. Matt and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family that would provide for us like this!

Caroline's Mom got me a goodie bag of onesies, bibs, blanket, and little shoes! I loved it all!

The girls went in together to get me the Baby Einstein tummy time mat and Little Lamb infant seat. I can't wait to get them out and put them together!

After the shower, we headed to Mi Ranchito (the best Mexican you will ever eat) to catch up on each other's lives. I promise that once we saw each other, we did not stop talking until we left! I miss those girls!

After we got back to Trisha's, we played a game called "Sing Off". I had never played it before, but it was very fun. You are competing against another person by trying to sing the song correctly. We did this until about 1 in the morning!
