One of the nice things about living in a large city is that there is a lot to do. My sister has a season pass to the Children’s Museum. So on Wednesday, we took all the kids. It was pretty busy, but I think they all had fun!

Country Fun
I love going to my parents’ house because there is so much room to run and play. My parents bought several riding toys for the grandkids. Why didn’t we have these growing up?!? :)
Aunt Nancy’s
While Matt was gone to Honduras for a mission trip, I headed to Memphis via Chattanooga. Every year my Aunt Nancy has all the Carpenter family to her house the week of the 4th of July. My parents go every year, but it seems like our little family only makes it every other year. Well this year we got to go, but without Matt. :( Since I was going solo, my parents offered to drive to Auburn and then ride with me to Chattanooga. I’m so glad they did!
They got to Auburn late Thursday night, and then we headed to Chattanooga Friday morning. Levi hates his car seat, so it was very nice to have Mom sitting in the back with the kids. It seemed like she was doing everything she could to keep Levi from crying. I know I would have probably been crying before we even got to the Georgia line if I had been by myself.
When we got to Aunt Nancy’s, we got in the pool. I wasn’t sure how Cooper would react. A couple of weeks ago we went to my friend Amy’s pool, and Cooper screamed when Matt tried to get him to go in. He would have none of it. Well this time he gave us no problems. By the end of the stay he was jumping off the side to me. I’m so glad he likes it now, but I will have to go and get some swim gear before we go again. He is fearless now!

Coop jumping in. Yes he’s wearing a purple puddle jumper. It was Daily’s. We ended up taking it off and just wearing floaties. The floaties held him up just as well.
This last picture I took from my cousin Wendy. It is just too cute. Remle and Frankie are reading to Levi. And then they started singing to him. So sweet!

4th of July
Yesterday we had a low key celebration. Matt left for Honduras early this morning, so we didn’t want to be out late. So we went to our friends house the Willis’ and partied that morning. We had fun just sitting around chatting and eating of course! Cooper had fun playing with his buddy Walker and Walker’s two little girl cousins. It was a great day!

1 month photos
Levi turned 1 month yesterday 6/14. It is so hard to believe that he is already a month old. The second one flies by so much faster than the first! I love him so much!!
Stats:
Weight – 9 pounds, 7 ounces (he weighed 6.10 at birth)
Length – 20 3/4 inches
He is still eating about every 3 hours. He has only made it 4 hours at night a couple of times and 5 hours twice. When he slept 5 hours, I was hoping it was going to be a trend, but he went back to every 3. He has a lot of belly problems, so I’m hoping when that gets resolved he will start sleeping longer. He hates to be awake. I have to make him have tummy time and play on his activity mat. If he’s awake, he wants to eat. He hasn’t started smiling or cooing yet, but I think it isn’t going to be long. He rolled over from his back to belly one time, but I think it was a fluke. Much too young to count! He hates getting dressed, getting his diaper changed, getting a bath – pretty much anything besides eating and sleeping!!
I love him and so glad that he is here! Can’t wait to see what happens in month 2!!
