Levi 7 months old

Levi turned 7 months on December 14th.  I am way behind on this, so some of the things he is doing may not have happened until after he turned 7 months, but oh well!

Weight: 16.5 ounces (I just took him to the doctor 2 days ago for his first ear infection)

Sleep:  Still not great.  I apparently don’t know how to sleep train my children.  *Sigh* He takes 3 – 30 minute naps.  Goes to bed about 6:30 and wakes up for the day between 7:00 and 7:30.  I usually nurse him twice sometime in between 6:30pm and 7:30am.  I know I am going to have to fix that soon…

Eating:  Still LOVES to nurse.  I mean sometimes during the day he nurses every 2 hours.  It’s ridiculous.  But I really love it, so it’s ok.  He goes back and forth on doing well with eating.  I don’t know what it is about him.  He is just not as in to it as Cooper was.  Sometimes he will eat 3 meals a day, and sometimes I have trouble getting him to finish one thing of baby food in a day.  I think a lot has to do with his pickiness.  If he doesn’t like it, he just shuts down.  He won’t try anything else for that setting.  On a good note, he is eating some table food.  He loves crackers (I have to watch him though.  He tends to choke and throw up), puffs, pizza.  He has tried mashed potatoes, green beans, waffle, grapes, pasta, bananas.  Another good note, he is drinking from his cup like a champ.  Sometimes he holds it by himself!  So much further than Coop on that one!

He recently has started rocking on his hands and knees.  He will also go from sitting, to diving for a toy, to landing on his belly.  Still not rolling (I think he can, he just doesn’t want to), but he is showing improvements every day on getting closer to crawling.  He is also close to standing while holding on to something.

He has started waving and saying “Bye Bye”.  Not at the same time, but we count it!  :)  He says sounds that seem to be Momma and Dadda which makes me happy!

Still not the most content little fellow.  Loves to be carried around on my hip!  Doing much better in his car seat!  We traveled a lot this Christmas, and he didn’t have any major breakdowns!!

I love this little guy so much!  His fuzzy little head will get him almost anything.  Anytime I get frustrated, I just rub his head and it makes things all better.  :)

I’m so ready for 2013 and all that Levi will learn and do!

Sunday morning cuties

I tried to get a couple of pictures of the boys before church this morning. Cooper has decided recently that he isn't going to look at the camera. So I tried to get him to sit with Papa Tom, but that didn't seem to work either! :) Anyways at least Levi looks cute!

An artist in the making

Cooper loves to paint. Usually whenever he requests to paint, I give him water colors because they are the easiest for me to get ready. Well today I decided to pull out the "real" paints. He was so excited! He even kept all his paint brushes in the correct cup which really impressed me!

Picture stress

Yesterday we went to Chewacla park to get some family pictures made. I had a cute outfit picked out that required me to wear my super high heeled boots. I did not realize that we were going to be hiking 10 minutes down a hill to a waterfall for the pictures. I about fell several times and actually ended up holding our photographer's hand the majority of the way down. Good thing he is a friend. Coop was so worn out after the hike that he fell asleep on the floor when we got home. Anything for good pictures, right?

New phone

I was due for an update for a new phone, so I made the transition to an iPhone. I am loving it so far! Today I tried out the camera mode that allows you to see yourself while taking the picture. Here are a couple!

Trick or Treat

A week before Halloween, Cooper decided he did not want to be a giraffe (the costume my mom scored at a consignment sale), instead he wanted to be a monster.  So I got on Pinterest and did my best to find an age appropriate monster costume.  As I was making Cooper’s costume, I kept trying to get him to try it on to see how it was going.  He refused every time.  So I really thought that he would refuse come Halloween.  It was quite the opposite.  He was sooo excited!  Matt said that Cooper was bouncing on his bed during his rest time wanting to go trick-or-treating.  When we got to church, he couldn’t wait to put on his costume.  He spent the majority of the night running around with his buddy Van and having a great time.  When trunk-or-treat was over, we came home and Matt took Cooper out around our neighborhood to get some real action.  Cooper was so excited about all his candy.  He couldn’t wait to get home and eat some of it.  I think the only part he didn’t like was saying “trick or treat”.  We couldn’t get him to say it.  But he did say “thank you” to each person, so I guess that’s what counts!

Levi was a little giraffe this year.  My friend April had this costume, and it was perfect!  I think he is the cutest giraffe I’ve ever seen!
