Nashville Christmas

After the party was over in Florence, we loaded up the boys and headed to Nashville Saturday night.  The drive wasn’t the best ever, but it could have been a lot worse.  It overlapped with Levi’s bedtime, and he sure let us know that he was not happy!  Thankfully we were able to get him in bed not too much later than usual.

The next day was Sunday, so we headed to church.  Both boys did great even though they were exhausted!

Monday, the extended family came over to celebrate and have lunch.  We had way too much food and fun!  The boys had fun chasing each other around.  Cooper did much better this time opening presents.  He still wasn’t interested in playing with any of the toys – just the opening part!

After the extended family left, we went upstairs to do our own little Christmas.  The boys got so much stuff!  We are blessed!!  They have really enjoyed playing with all of it!  My favorite present was my Kitchenaid mixer!  I haven’t tried it out yet, but I can’t wait!!

Meeting Kinsley!

While we were in Florence celebrating Christmas with my extended family, I met up with my room mate and BFF for a short visit. They were passing through and stopped by the church. I'm so glad they did! I got to meet Kinsley for the first time at one year old. It is so hard being so far away from friends, but it makes times like this even more special. I can't wait to see Caroline and her family again. Maybe this summer!? One can hope!

Carpenter Christmas

On Saturday December 22nd, we woke up early and headed to Florence, AL for my extended family Christmas.  We arrived just in time for the party to begin.  Our family is so big that we have to meet at the church!  It was wonderful to get to see everyone!!

Our little family Christmas

Since we are always out of town for Christmas day, we open gifts right before we leave.  This year it was the Thursday before Christmas.  I will always remember this year as the year Cooper didn’t want to participate.  Ugh!  He didn’t want to take pictures, he didn’t want to open presents, etc. etc.  I’m hoping it was just typical 2 year old and that next year will be better.  Don’t get me wrong, he has definitely enjoyed the toys, he just didn’t enjoy the festivities surrounding.

Since we opened presents on Thursday, the boys had all day Friday to enjoy them before we left Saturday!
