This weekend my Mom came to give us some help since Cooper has been so sick recently. So we did not know she was coming until Friday, but we are so glad she came!! She has been a big help and stress relief! Cooper is going to see an ENT next week and will probably be having tubes put in his ears. He has had the same ear infection for a month now, and antibiotics are not working. So, we still have a grouchy little boy, but thankfully we have enjoyed Easter weekend with little problems!
We were supposed to go to our church’s Easter egg hunt on Saturday, but it got rescheduled to a day that we couldn’t make. So instead we headed to the Auburn Easter egg hunt that is held at Keisel Park. It is totally free, and they have around 35,000 eggs. The hunts are broken into age ranges with the youngest being 3 and under. Since it is such a big deal, we got there 30 minutes early and still had to park and walk a little ways. We got to Cooper’s age range and camped out a spot. Cooper was very leery to the whole idea. Especially when the Easter bunny came around! Then he really didn’t want to get down and do anything. Thankfully when his hunt started, he did participate. Once he got the hang of it, he managed to snag a couple of eggs. One of his eggs came open and he started snacking on the prize. After that, all he was concerned about was his snack, so the hunting was over! :)
Cooper’s favorite spot – on top of his brother
He loves his basket. He wanted to hold it the whole way to the park.
Waiting for the hunt to start. I kept pointing out the eggs to him to try to make him understand what he was supposed to do.
Lolly had to get him going. The Easter bunny was still standing close by, so Cooper was afraid to move!
I think he’s got the hang of it!
Eating his candy
When we got home, mom brought Cooper’s Easter basket in from her car. He was so excited about it that she let him open it a little early. :) When he started on it, he kept saying “O wow!” over and over.
Easter morning Cooper took a little warming up to get to his basket. He was still very sleepy, but once he saw all the Sesame Street items, he was ready to dig in! We took several of the prizes to church to play with!
Trying to get some good shots before church! How cute are my men?!?!
Let’s just say that the pregnancy has decided to go to my face and arms! I was hoping it would hold out a little bit longer, but no! My feet and ankles have started swelling and it ain’t pretty! :)
Here I am at 32 weeks!! Eeeek!!!!
Just so you know, Cooper did not go hunting Sunday morning, he just wanted to carry his basket around. Doesn’t he look so grown up! Next year I’m going to have 2 little boys!!
