More Videos

This is a video of Remle and Daily singing "Jesus Loves Me" to Cooper.

This is them singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I love Daily's face in this one. She just loves Cooper.

Here he is playing with his kicking toy. He LOVES it!

Videos

These are videos that were taken the first week of Cooper's life. I've been trying to upload them ever since then. I just now figured it out. I will upload more now that I know how to do it. Enjoy!

Weekend in Memphis

This past weekend, I decided to venture to Memphis by myself. I was very very nervous about the trip. Imagine taking a 5 week old on a 6 hour road trip by yourself. Very scary. On Wednesday morning I was ready to go. I nursed Cooper while Matt loaded the car. Once Cooper was good and stuffed, we headed out. I figured I could at least make it to Birmingham (about 2 hours) before he would wake up. Boy was I wrong! He woke up 40 minutes before getting there. He started crying in 5 minute intervals. Knowing that he was not hungry and probably just tired, I did my best to block him out. I was so glad to see our Birmingham exit. After that stop, we made it all the way to Olive Branch before he woke up again. I was only 15 minutes from my sister's house, but I decided to stop so that he would be in a good mood when we got there. I was so glad to be there! I was stressed to the max and exhausted, but we made it! And it only took 6 hours! Anyways, Remle and Daily were so excited to see him. They kept wanting to touch him all over, but we tried to limit the touching to just his feet. That was very hard for them. But it was good preparation for when their little sister arrives in October. There are more pictures that were taken with my sister's camera that I will have to post once I get them. Anyways, we had so much fun in Memphis. Basically we just hung out with the family which is my favorite thing to do. Also, Cooper got a lot of love from Lolly and Poppy which gave me plenty of opportunities to nap! :) Sunday came way too fast and once again I was nervous about the trip. It is just very hard to be all by yourself trying to manage a baby. On the way back, I only made it about an hour and a half before having to pull off. Cooper was just so fussy. He wanted to go to sleep, but wanted to nurse and fall asleep. Unfortunately there is no way for that to happen on the road with me driving! We did eventually make it home and I was so glad to see Matt! I'm really glad I made the trip because there will be many more that I have to do. Our next trip will be next weekend to a friend's wedding. Thankfully Matt will be with me. But then two weeks after that, I have to drive to Nashville by myself. But since I'm a pro, I should be just fine! Anyways, enjoy the pictures. They are kind of out of order, but that's ok.

Upper GI

Cooper had his Upper GI done this morning. He did awesome. I woke him up at 3:45 to nurse because he couldn't eat at least 4 hours before the procedure. He woke up at 6:45 wanting to nurse, but we had to wait until after 8:00 before he could get anything. He did not cry one time. Of course he was a little fussy, but no screaming or crying. Definitely an answered prayer. I just knew that he would be screaming his head off! Matt stayed in the room with him while the procedure was done. I opted out of staying because I tend to get emotional over the littlest things. Matt said that they gave him the barium to drink and he drank like a champ! He was starving (which is how they want it to be that way they don't have to put a tube down him). Anyways, it only took about 10 minutes. He was so content when I came back in the room. The radiologist said everything looked normal, but we won't hear from our pediatrician until probably Friday. But I consider it a success! Definitely God was working this morning! To celebrate we went to Chick Fil A for some breakfast. Thanks to everyone for the prayers. I think he is starting to get a little better. I don't know if his medicine is just now working or what, but it seems like every day gets better. And he is nursing so well! Anyways, I will keep y'all updated on things. Thanks again!

Dr. App. 5-13

We had Cooper's one month appointment today. I was so glad we were having this appointment because Cooper's acid reflux has not improved much (for those of you not on facebook, we have been trying to figure out this problem for a couple of weeks). Our appointment was at 2:00 and at 9:00 this morning he had the most vomit I have ever seen from him. It was very scary. It kept coming and coming. Needless to say, I was very freaked out. Also, a couple of nights ago, I went to go get him from his crib and he was covered in spit up. His nightgown and onesie were soaked. Also there was spit up all on the crib. He has been taking Prevacid since last Monday and we haven't seen the dramatic difference that everyone talks about. So, I was glad to be able to go to the dr. to talk about it some more. Sadly, Cooper has to have an Upper GI on Tuesday morning. I'm so nervous about it. I'm glad to be getting it done, that way we can rule out any major problems, but I know it is going to be a rough morning. He has to not eat anything for four hours. Sometimes that is not a problem. But today he has eaten every hour and a half to two hours. Please pray that he is content for those four hours. Please also pray that we get some answers from this test. I'm very nervous about the results. I don't think anything is terribly wrong with him, but I do want some answers. Anyways, we have had a pretty rough day. He had to get a shot and I think it made him cranky and hurting. But he is gaining weight really well. He weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces and is in the 75th percentile for weight. He is 22 1/2 inches long which is in the 90th percentile for length. Anyways, I'm praying that he sleeps tonight. I'll try to keep you updated about the results.
