So for those of you who don't know, I am the proud owner of two Jack Russells. Those are dogs for anyone who was wondering. Well, I'm not really the owner of one. She is on loan.
When we first moved to Auburn, poor Roxie (our dog) had to stay in a tiny house with no fence to go run around in. Then two weeks later, we moved again into our current house with a huge yard, but again, no fence. At first we were keeping her in the garage on a leash (I decided that I didn't want her staying in the house. She is an awful shedder!). But we didn't think that was fair to her. We would try to let her go run, but she would always chase after other dogs (there are a lot of dogs in our neighborhood!). So we shipped her off to stay with her Aunt Brandy. Brandy is the owner of Susie, who is Roxie's mom (confused yet? :) ). So Roxie spent a couple of months at their house until Dad could come help build the fence.
Now that the fence is built, we have both dogs. This has been great for Roxie. She really enjoys having a friend to play with. But recently, Susie seems to be getting tired of Roxie. At least that's what it seems to me. Susie has been digging a hole and going under the fence. Roxie for some odd reason doesn't follow her. But the stranger thing, Susie gets out and immediately goes around and lays in front of our front door! What crazy dog would do that? If you are going to dig out, at least make it worth your while. Go gallivanting around the neighborhood or chase after cats. But no. Her main goal is for us to open the door and let her in. She LOVES being inside with us. I don't know why. I guess because it's different.
Anyways, my sweet husband is getting tired of finding ways to fix Susie's holes. She might not be on loan much longer! Sister you better watch out. Susie might be coming back home to you!
